Easter Experience
The Easter Experience is an event that gives us a wonderful opportunity to let the children in our community learn about Christ in an interactive and exciting way. The Highway Centre is transformed into Jerusalem each year and this has happening since 1999. The Easter Experience presents the Easter story through drama and mime, covering the sequence of events of the Easter story.
The aims of the endeavour are:
1. Teaching and exposing children without a Christian background to the story of Easter.
2. For children from Christian backgrounds, the program could clarify and consolidate their perceptions of the Easter Events through the use of creative media.
Women's Weekend
Every May, the women of Gordon Uniting Church get together for the Women's Weekend which is a chance to relax and have fun and also to explore aspects of our faith journeys.
The Women of Gordon Uniting Church had a great weekend away from 21st – 23rd May 2010 filled with lots of discussion, learning and fun !
The theme this year was ‘Faith + Life = Discipleship’.
Thanks to the committee for all their hard work in organising the weekend and we look forward to next year!!!
