GROUPS

Bible Studies are a core way for people in our church community to get together and learn more about God through discussions with one another. They are also a great way to build relationships and to have a bit of fun as well.
We have a number of regular bible studies:
* Monday Night 7.30pm - Young adults
* Tuesday Morning 10am - In the Highway Centre
* Thursday Night - Young Families
* Friday Morning 10:30am - In the Highway Centre
* Friday Night
We also have special bible studies at different times of the year such as the Lent and Advent seasons for those who can't commit to a regular group. Watch this page for more information on these groups.
Book Club
Book Club which meets the second Tuesday of each month from 8 - 9.30pm. The books read are recommended or suggested by our members. Recent books discussed include 'Atonement' by Ian McEwan, 'Ines of my Soul' by Isabel Allende and 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance'.
New members welcome - you do not need to have finished the book! Contact the church office for the next meeting venue.
Choir
The church choir gets together on special occasions to rehearse items for worship and special events. They also regularly help lead the singing in morning worship. Anyone who loves to sing is welcome to join in.
Leisure & Learning
The aim of Leisure & Learning is to contribute to the enrichment of personal and community experience by :-
1. establishing a centre for creative leisure in the Ku-ring-gai area and
2. encouraging the development of interests and skills in a wide range of pursuits.
Leisure and Learning activities are on Fridays. There are 4 terms each year of 8 weeks, during school terms with an outing on the 9th week. Classes can consist of Bridge, Browsing in Books, Computers, Current Affairs, Indoor Bowls, Mah-jong, Needlecraft, Painting, Scrabble, Solo and Travel & Discovery.
Program:
- Morning session are 9:15am - 12.30pm (with morning tea)
- Lunch is at 12.30 - 1.15pm (small charge)
- Afternoon sessions are 1.15 - 2.15pm
The cost is $20 per term (no limit on the number of classes attended)
Seniors
Seniors meet on the first Tuesday of each month for a 'bring you own' Sandwich Lunch. Generally this meeting is held in homes and provides the opportunity for fellowship and support. From time to time, there will be a short talk from one of our members.
Stitching Group
Stitching group meets for a chat and a stitch in a home each week on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm. It's a great chance for people to get together, socialise and use your creative side. You don't need any stitching experience to join, just come along.Young Adults
Our Young Adults group is full of fun-loving people aged 18 to 30 years old who love to get together socially and to learn more about God.
The group has regular social events which in the past have included bare foot bowls, beach BBQ's and dinners out. Most of our young adults also participate in the evening worship service and weekly bible studies. Newcomers are always welcome!
